  Schism Matrix by Bruce Sterling

Week 20

Man oh man, "Dr. Menlo." Now there's an alternative blog. Kindness to animals, Seattle anarchists, nudism galore, SubGenius, anti-Bush black propaganda, jeez louise, Doc, that thing sure is happenin'.

I always enjoy reading "The Daily Corruption" from "Transparency International." It's the crook-crook-crookedest.

A couple of articles here about giant, collaborative games played on Japanese cellphones. Imagine strolling down a street in Tokyo and suddenly seeing half the population whipping out cellphones and fighting for their virtual lives.

Some swell editorial advice here on sci-fi and how she is wrote, direct from Hugo Gernsback in 1930. "Don't drag in television. It is worked to death and there are so many better appliances you can use in your stories."

"The whole field of science is your oyster to open with your pen and extract the pearl of steady work and good pay." Wow! Thanks, Mr Gernsback!

In the spring, a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love. That's when he clicks on the Anarchist Matchmaker, to check out all those hot smash-the-state punk chicks.

Bruce Sterling is a science-fiction writer who lives in Texas. The sun is a G-type star out towards the edge of the Milky Way.
